Black Hawk Abrasives 4-1/2" x .045" x 7/8" Cutting Disc for Aluminum are specifically designed to cut aluminum and other soft metals with ease. These aluminum cutting wheels are made with a proprietary blend of bonded silicon carbide and aluminum oxide abrasive grains which cuts fast, resists loading or “gumming up”, and remains cooler during use than standard metal cut off wheels. The Black Hawk Abrasives non-loading cut off wheels are thin but strong. Each disc features reinforced fiberglass mesh to support the ultra thin .045 inch profile. The .045” thickness allows fast cutting as well as minimal kerf or burr formation on the work piece. BHA 4.5” Aluminum Cut Off Wheels are made to be used on an angle grinder and are effective at cutting copper, bronze, brass and other non-ferrous soft metals in addition to aluminum. These cut off discs are not recommended for more hardened metals.

Cut off a 12" aluminum "I" beam. Did the job.
I purchased a pre cut patio cover a specific size that was all aluminum. When it arrived, the only things cut to size were the roof panels. I special ordered it so I wouldn't have to cut everything myself as I have nothing to work with aluminum. I searched for aluminum cutting discs. everyone tried to sell me aluminum oxide discs or large carbide tipped aluminum cutting blades. I did an internet search and found thes aluminum cutting discs. I have used these discs and they were great. I now have a made-to-order cover.
Used a aluminum disc - cut 1/4" x 1 1/2" aluminum angle iron very well. Didn't need filing touch up went right to welding the joint. Worked well.

I needed to cut open a few areas on my Mustang GT hood to install heat extractor louvers. The Black Hawk cutting discs made the task easy! No aluminum build up on the discs!
This was a good purchase. I'm cutting 16 gage diamond plate. These wheels cut without gumming up. I would recommend them for aluminum sheet.

These wheels arrived on time and were labeled for cutting steel,so I think I got the wrong ones. they work well on steel. I didn’t find them useful for cutting aluminum.
The cut off wheels worked great. They made my job a lot easier and quicker also...
