Worked great for polishing my dually rims!
I use this with the black polishing compound Empire sells following a final surface prep with the 3M 6S unitized disk. This worked way better than belt polishers for a 304 stainless sailboat arch I recently completed. The flappy felt can either be pushed down hard for polishing, or finessed to remove the excess, and holds compound well The result is a mirror finish. I haven't had a desire to use these discs with any of the finer polishing compounds, but I'm sure they would work well.

These were a bit higher than my usual polishing pads but they hold rouge better and last much longer than the plain ones I used to buy
As expected all went well. The disc worked great. Easy to mount on my angle grinder. Very little wear as yet.
