Product Description

4" x 3/4" x .035" - 24 TPI Master Cobalt Metal Cutting Reciprocating Saw Blades (5 Pack)

The M.K. Morse Company’s Master Cobalt Reciprocating Saw Blade for Metal is setting the standard for metal cutting reciprocating saw blades on the market today. Each Master Cobalt sawzall blade features state of the art bi-metal construction which combines a high-carbon steel body with cobalt-steel alloy teeth. The carbon steel body provides break-resistance and flexibility while the cobalt alloy teeth provide high speed cutting, heat resistance, increased hardness and maximum durability. On average, a bi-metal recip blade will outlast a standard carbon steel blade 10 times but, with the addition of the Master Cobalt’s cobalt steel cutting edge these reciprocating blades will even outlast standard bi-metal blades, making them some of the longest lasting blades available anywhere. The Master Cobalt metal reciprocating blade is the best choice for cutting any machinable metal up to ¼” (6.4 mm) in thickness and features an angled nose making it perfect for plunge cutting. Master Cobalt Reciprocating Saw Blades have conventional shanks making them universally adaptable to standard reciprocating saws and sawzall’s of any brand.

The 4” x 3/4” x .035” Master Cobalt Blade for Metal with 24 TPI is 4 inches long, .75” wide, .035” thick and has 24 Teeth Per Inch. This combination of specifications provides the following advantages: 4 inch blades are more rigid than longer blades resulting in a straighter cuts and making them ideal for plunge cutting, copper pipe cutting, and cutting thinner metals. 4 inch long recip blades are the perfect size for cutting work pieces that are 1 to 2 inches wide (Your blade length should be 2" - 3" longer than the width of the material you are cutting to prevent slipping. Additionally, your blade should not be so much longer than your material or else wobbling and vibration can occur.) . The .035” thickness is considered “standard” thickness and perfect for general purpose cutting. Saw saw blades with .035” thickness have some flex but due to the short length of this blade, that flex would be minimal. The .035” thickness also cuts faster than thicker blades, minimizes material loss, and leaves a small kerf on your work piece. Finally, 24 TPI is ideal for cutting metal while leaving the smoothest possible cutting area. MADE IN AMERICA.
