These SC belts are engineered to reduce heat buildup thus reducing the chance of damaging or discoloring the work material. Additionally, these surface conditioning belts resist loading which improves the finish and greatly extends the life of the belt. These belts are extremely durable and offer excellent flexibility for detail work around contours, edges, and irregular surfaces. These non woven belts are the perfect option for cleaning, deburring, finishing or blending when minimal stock removal is required and the integrity of the work pieces is a high priority. These surface conditioning belts are particularly effective at corrosion removal, finishing stainless steel as well as creating a straight line brushed finish on a variety of metals and alloys. United StatesI needed something to give my copper plated parts a "brushed" finish and these are perfect! Sanding, even at 600-800 grit, just took too much material away and I didn't have much to start with since they're only plated. The texture on these seems to give them a little more "reach" when there's an unintended curve/etc. They're a little finicky to get on & adjust for sliding, and my guard doesn't raise high enough to completely avoid contact...but I can use the edge of the sander with these since they're not just eating material, so it's no issue at all. 100% worth it

United StatesThese red scotch belts are perfect for what I needed. We do fine finished brushed stainless steel and cerakote on all of our parts. This provides the optimal grain for both, much brighter than #4 and only alternative to sandblasting cerakote c series for the high end architectural work we do. Is there a way to clean them though? I’d love to take the grime off on occasion, but not sure if I can use acetone or??
