5 inch Velcro Surface Conditioning Discs feature non-woven fiber infused with aluminum oxide grains adhered to a Hook & Loop (velcro backing) for ease of removal and attachment. Surface Conditioning discs offer a flexibility and give during use which allows them to conform well on irregular or contoured surfaces. Haven’t used yet. I hope they stay on the backing pad and not fly off. We’ll see what happens
The product looked good but it would not adhere to any of my tools hook and loop backing pads. What works… Festool makes a 5 inch intermediate pad that adheres to the surface of their 5 inch random orbital sander… then the other side grabs the back of these conditioning discs very well.
These are a great product for prepping steel for painting. We do a lot of painting on a large steel boat in Alaska. Empire Abrasives shipped them out to us via USPS and they got to us quickly. Will definitely order from this company again
