Aluminum Oxide (A/O) is a tough, durable abrasives grain characterized by the long life of its cutting edges and points. It is the most widely used of the man-made abrasive minerals, with good reason! This grain type is economically priced and well suited for sanding a broad range of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, fiberglass, plastics, as well as on soft and hard woods. These discs feature a full phenolic resin bond system to provide a uniform scratch pattern, heat resistance, increased durability and superb grain adhesion, with the addition of the non loading stearate these discs are very reliable and long lasting. These sanding disks work wonders. For a while I was using ones from harborfrieght... they wouldn't last very long and they were expensive after a while. These last 3 times longer and you get more for your money. I use these every day and would recommend them to anyone. Good product.
