What is an Unmounted Flap Wheel?
These are specialty abrasive products designed to provide long lasting grinding over surfaces that are either flat or irregular shapes or contoured. Each of our 6 inch flap wheels is constructed with multiple flaps, or strips, of abrasive cloth fanning out around a 1 inch center hole arbor. As you grind down a surface with the flapper wheels, the outermost pieces of the flaps wear away, constantly exposing fresh abrasives, making them last longer than most other products.
