The Aluminum Oxide Straight Cartridge Roll 1/2" x 2" x 1/8" is a tightly rolled tube of coated abrasive that is used for grinding in hard to reach areas or on flat and contoured surfaces. Straight cartridge rolls offer a larger surface area for grinding than their tapered counterpart but still provide a compact size and maneuverable design. These straight abrasive rolls start with premium aluminum oxide grains that are resin bonded and wrapped into multiple layer rolls to provide strength and extended useful life even during heavier jobs. As the straight cartridge roll is used and worn down new layers of fresh, sharp aluminum oxide grains are exposed. The abrasive tube that is formed has an arbor hole meant for a mandrel tool attachment. Once attached to the mandrel the straight cartridge roll can be used on a power drill or a die grinder. This straight abrasive cylinder can grind, polish or sand over curves and irregular surfaces as well as in tubes and other hard to reach areas and is ideal for all ferrous metals, aluminum or wood.
