1" x 1" spiral bands are Zirconia coated abrasives that are rolled into a tube and fused to form an abrasive band that can be used to sand or grind in small, tight spaces. The spiral band construction features “no lap” to provide a shadow-mark free, clean finish. Each 1 inch zirconia spiral band is made with premium zirconia grains that outlast and cut faster than the aluminum oxide version. Zirconia alumina is an ultra-tough synthetic abrasive, which provides a cool cut for high stock removal applications. It has a micro-crystalline structure which allows for controlled breakdown and self-sharpening. The zirconia grains are resin bonded to a sturdy cloth backing creating a small 1" x 1" spiral band abrasive that is perfect for precision, hand-guided work on contoured and flat work pieces. These 1 inch blue zirc spiral bands are a very versatile abrasive that can be used to deburr, grind or polish all ferrous and non ferrous metal (including stainless steel) as well as sand wood, fiberglass, plastic, and rubber. Additionally, these spiral bands are the perfect abrasive for removal of parting lines. This spiral band requires an easy to use, slip on rubber mandrel that expands during use to lock in the band. These spiral bands are made to be used on a rotary drill or a die grinder. MADE IN THE USA
