The 2” x 1” x ¼” Interleaf Mounted Flap Wheels by Black Hawk Abrasives are great for light grinding, deburring, cleaning weld lines and polishing. Each 2 Inch mounted interleaved wheel is designed in a fan pattern, with alternating flaps of non-woven sponge like abrasive, and coated aluminum oxide cloth flaps spindle mounted around a ¼” center shank (One strip of aluminum oxide abrasive cloth between each piece of non-woven abrasive sponge). The size, shape and flexibility of this abrasive allows for use in confined spaces or on irregular surfaces such as inside of pipes, outside of tubing, or on contoured areas. These 2” x 1” duplex wheels attach to a die grinder or power drill. These non-woven flapper wheels are ideal for ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, iron, brass, aluminum, plastics, wood and fiberglass. The dual action abrasive cloth and Scotch-Brite combination allows for some stock removal while simultaneously polishing to a brush like finish. Common applications of the 2” mounted flap wheel include blending scratch patterns or parting lines, cleaning welds, heavy oxidation removal, de-scaling heat treated aluminum, removing rust, and creating a satin finish polish on certain metals. The Black Hawk 2” x 1” x 1/4" Mounted Interleaf Flap Wheel comes in Green (Coarse: 80 grit – 120 grit), Red (Medium: 150 grit – 240 grit), and Grey (Fine: 400 grit – 600 grit).
