8” Cloth Backed Ceramic PSA Sanding Discs for Disc Sanders are manufactured with the latest and greatest in abrasive technology, ceramic grains. These ceramic grains are resin on resin bonded to keep the grains firmly in place on the disc and prevent loading which extends the life and sharpness of the grains. These 8 inch ceramic sanding discs are built on a heavy-duty Y-weight cloth backed disc for an ultra-durable sanding option compared to paper alternatives. 8 Inch Ceramic sanding discs are the longest lasting of the abrasive discs on the market today, outlasting zirconia 50 - 100% and aluminum oxide by 200% or greater on aggressive applications. The long life of these discs is due to the properties of the grains themselves. Ceramic grains fracture in such a way that continuously reveals new sharp edges. The grinding-inducing additional layer decreases grinding temperature to protect both the belt and the material being worked out, which not only extends the life of the pressure sensitive adhesive disc but, also prevents any burning or staining on the work piece. These Ceramic PSA discs are designed with a high strength "peel to reveal" adhesive backing. When the paper covering the adhesive is removed the disc should be pressed onto a backing pad or steel disc pad that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, platen disc sander or stationary disc sander. The adhesive used on these PSA Discs are super strong and will not come loose during use. These ceramic sanding discs are ideal for use on almost all metals including but not limited to carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, nickel, and cast iron. BUILT IN USA.
