Mounting note: Run this buff with a Buffing Wheel Safety Flange to protect the center plate from warping. For angle grinder use, a 3" Angle Grinder Extender is highly recommended.
8” Blue Airway Buff with 3” Center Plate and 5/8” Arbor Hole is your go to for first cut when starting the polishing process. These blue buffs are made up of 16 discs of cotton (16 ply) for longer life. The flaps are then mill treated for increased firmness, allowing the buffs to cut and color aggressively. The blue airway buff is affixed from the center of the disc with a steel plate. This steel plate holds firm during use and also creates pleats in the buff which allow for the passage of air during buffing. The pleats allow the buff to operate at a cooler temperature protecting both the work piece and the buff itself (extending its useful life). For optimal results with the airway buffs, pair them with Black Magic compound or Tripoli compound. These airway buffs are designed to be attached to an angle grinder, polisher or buffer that receives a 5/8” arbor hole.
