Black “Magic” Stainless Steel Buffing Compound is an emery filled, semi-wet, cutting bar made to be used on stainless steel, steel, cast iron, brass, copper, and tin plate. The black buffing compound bar is very tacky and is the coarsest available. It cuts fast and is ideal for removing surface imperfections, small pits, scratches, thin plate, paint, lacquer, and for adhering to sisal and other aggressive cutting buffing wheels. The bar’s semi-wet nature allows it to be used year-round in most moderate climates (45°-90° Fahrenheit) that do not have high humidity. While Black Magic is a versatile compound, it truly performs to the best of its ability when paired with a sisal wheel or a blue air-way buff. To save yourself hours of work, we would recommend you start most jobs with this compound rather than less abrasive alternatives. The Black Magic compound provides an excellent value. Each bar is a large industrial size that weighs approximately 3 pounds and measures approximately 10.5” long x 2.5” wide x 2” tall.
