Brown Tripoli Buffing Compound is one of the most popular due to its mild cutting action while also providing a nice color as well. Primarily, the Tripoli bar is used as a cut bar on aluminum, brass, copper, or other soft metals both ferrous and non ferrous. The brown tripoli buffing compound bar is most effective when paired with our blue treated air-way buffing wheel attached to a right angle buffer/polisher, a sisal buffing wheel, or a spiral sewn buff attached to a high-speed lathe or bench grinder. These brown compound buffing bars are effective in most climates. The bar weighs about 2.5 pounds and is about 10-1/4” long, 2-1/2” in width, and 2” in height. United States United StatesWe have a large brass ewer/pitcher that was just a mess-probably never more than an occasional dusting so it was full of hard water deposits and old lacquer. I ended up using black, brown, green and red compound and buffing wheels from three companies (2 came with the bench buffer). If it weren't for the big dent, it looks better than new. The closest to a down side is the bars are industrial size and probably out last me!

To inform me they're out of the yellow airway buffing wheels and asked if they could send me a blue buffing wheel. Knowing the blue buffing wheel would not do the job I expected. After using the blue buffing wheel I was not impressed and regret agreeing to the blue buffing wheel. I need to reorder a the orange buffing wheel. The are stiffer and cut aluminum better. Other than that it was a great experience working with the company.
