Mounting note: Run this buff with a Buffing Wheel Safety Flange to protect the center plate from warping. For angle grinder use, a 3" Angle Grinder Extender is highly recommended.
10” Satin Airway Buff with 3” Center Plate and 5/8” Arbor Hole receives its name because of the satin-like finish it is able to achieve without the aid of other buffs or use of compound. These 10 inch maroon satin airway buffs are designed with 4 ply, flexible, non-woven, nylon mesh fibers impregnated with abrasive grains making them ideal for restoring diamond plate or brush finished metals. The satin airway buff is affixed with a steel center plate. This plate holds firm during use and creates pleats in the non woven layers, allowing the passage of air during use which cools the work piece and prevents discoloration due to heat. Satin airway buffing wheels provide an approximate 120 - 180 grit sanding finish and are excellent at removing oxidation, cleaning, blending, or feathering in lines. They are perfect for surface prep before the primary cut with our blue or yellow airway buffing wheels. These airway buffs are designed to be attached to an angle grinder, polisher or buffer that receives a 5/8” arbor hole.
