Introducing 2” Ceramic Quick Change Discs the longest lasting most effective quick change discs by Black Hawk Abrasives to date. 2 inch quick change sanding discs are designed for blending, sanding, grinding, descaling, deburring, polishing, leveling and general stock removal on contoured, uneven surfaces or on flat work pieces. These quick-change discs have a small, 2 inch diameter making them perfect for precision work or for grinding in hard-to-reach locations. Black Hawk Abrasives 2 inch ceramic quick change discs are manufactured using the next evolution of sanding and grinding technology: top of the line, closed coat, ceramic abrasives which are engineered for exceptional durability and cutting capability to boost productivity. Ceramic abrasive grains have a crystalline structure which makes them fracture is such a way that it continuously reveals sharp edges for quick and effective grinding. These ceramic grains are resin on resin bonded providing greater grain retention to the backing, as well as heat and moisture resistance. Furthermore, the ceramic grains on these 2 inch discs are self-lubricating and come with an additional grinding aid to further reduce heat accumulation and loading. Keeping heat low during grinding is important because it extends the life of the abrasive itself and protects sensitive work pieces such as stainless steel, cobalt, and nickel from burning or staining. Additionally, ceramic grains provide contaminant free results, so you won’t see “after rust” on stainless steel pieces after sanding. These discs are built on a heavy-duty, y-weight, polyester backing with the versatile, plastic, Type R (Type III) male roll-on, roll-off attachment system comparable to (and compatible with) 3M Roloc™ quick twist-on, twist-off. These discs are meant to be used with a 2-inch backing pad that can then be fastened to any ¼” power drill or air grinding tool.
