The BHA 4-1/2” x 7/8” Silicon Carbide Resin Fiber Discs are rigid discs perfectly formulated for light to moderate pressure grinding, sanding, and polishing applications on glass, masonry mediums such as stone, concrete, marble, granite, ceramics and non metallic surfaces like fiberglass, plastic and rubber. These 4-1/2 inch black resin fiber discs feature 100% premium silicon carbide grains adhered to sturdy .8 mm vulcanized fiber backing using full resin bonded coat for superior grain adhesion and reduced loading. Silicon carbide is the hardest and sharpest of the manufactured abrasives while also being highly friable (easily broken to reveal sharp edges) which allows faster cuts and more uniform scratch patterns. Popular uses for the silicon carbide fiber sanding discs include masonry and concrete prep work (sanding and grinding floors and walls). These fiber discs are designed to be used with a backing pad and attached to an angle grinder. Black Hawk Abrasives 4.5 inch silicon carbide resin fiber discs are available in 24 grit, 36 grit, 60 grit, 80 grit and 120 grit.
