    Hand tool Sharpening

Posted by Richard K Jones on Apr 13th 2019

I finally decided to repair chisels I missed used removing nails while doing construction and to rebuild three hand planes. I built a jig to hold the belts taunt and worked my way through until I moved up to my wet stones. I did not have to buy and expensive grinder to do the job and the material on the belt is there for another day.

    Good belt

I found that not only does it sand wood but also finger tips if you don’t hold on to smaller pieces of wood. It does the job needed in any case.
