| Description: | Zirconia alumina 6” x 48” Sanding Belt features premium zirconia grains, fully resin bonded to a strong x-weight polyester backing offering a sturdy but flexible belt, that can withstand heat and thrives in high pressure grinding applications. These belts are extremely versatile; the premium dense zirconia grains on each 6” x 48” inch wide sanding belt were formulated for aggressive and heavy stock removal applications while the open coated characteristic allows it to grind on softer materials without loading. Due to the self-sharpening properties of zirconia, it will cut faster and more consistently for a longer duration of time than aluminum oxide alternatives. The zirconia grains can last 2-3 times longer than aluminum oxide grains on belts when being used for heavy-duty, aggressive applications. The 6” x 48” Zirconia belts can be run wet or dry and are available in 36 grit, 40 grit, 60 grit, 80 grit, and 120 grit. United StatesI wrote to your customer support telling them that I was needing some 6x48 sanding belts that would be best for sanding "Green wood". I make handmade wooden bread bowls, chopping them mainly from freshly cut maple. Allowing the wood to dry before making the bowls would just add unwanted cracks and an elevated risk of busting the bowl while chipping it out. My problem was that the belts I was using were gumming up real fast, and were hard to clean. They suggested a belt, I bought a half dozen to try, and I'm satisfied with the results. They listened to my problem, matched it with the products they have - and the result is a happy customer.

United States United StatesThese belts cut fast and don’t load up. I have tried other brands that are not as good. Leveling end-grain cutting boards is a major challenge if you don’t have the right abrasive and these Empire belts work really well.
