Precision Small-Diameter Cutting for Tight Spaces & Minimal Material Loss
The BHA 2" x 1/32" x 3/8" Cut-Off Wheel is engineered for high-precision cutting where access is limited and accuracy is non-negotiable. At just 1/32" thick, this ultra-thin profile creates a narrow kerf that removes 50% less material than standard 1/16" wheels. This translates to faster plunge rates, lower heat generation, and cleaner edges on sheet metal, stainless steel, and fasteners.

| Material | Notes |
|---|---|
| Carbon steel | Bolt studs, rod, bar stock, pipe, sheet. Primary use case for this disc. |
| Mild steel | Body panels, brackets, exhaust components, conduit. |
| Stainless steel | Efficient for cutting stainless hardware and tubing; ultra-thin kerf limits heat discoloration |
| Cast iron | Cuts cast iron at this diameter; expect faster disc wear compared to steel. |
| Aluminum | Suitable for cutting aluminum arrow shafts, brackets, and trim; provides clean cuts on non-ferrous soft metals. |

Need a 3" disc for more cutting depth or a 1/4" arbor?
It depends on the tool. Air cut-off tools with a 3/8" arbor mount these directly. If you're using a pneumatic or electric die grinder with a 1/4" collet, you'll need a 3/8" x 1/4" cut-off wheel mandrel — the disc won't seat without it. Mini chop saws and 2" benchtop cut-off saws with a 3/8" arbor also mount these direct.
Thickness is the only difference. The 1/32" disc has a thinner kerf — it removes less material per cut, starts faster on thin stock, and is the better choice when precision matters. The 1/16" disc is about twice as thick, so it lasts longer per disc on heavier or repeated cuts. If you're trimming bolts and working in tight spots, 1/32" is the more common pick. If you're doing heavier cutting where disc life is the priority, go with 1/16".
Yes. The 2" diameter and 1/32" kerf make these a common choice for cutting carbon and aluminum arrow shafts on a mini benchtop chop saw. The thin kerf keeps the cut clean with minimal shaft material lost. Many customers use these specifically for this application with small cut-off saws.
